Since attending the top leaders conference in January, our team is more motivated than ever to reach ambitious goals. This includes creating an even stronger team culture. With that in mind, we’ve started a Riverpoint Management book club that will allow us to exchange the unique insights we gain through reading.
We’ll be focusing on several types of books, including those that offer unique success insights. Two such books are Gary Keller’s “The ONE Thing: The Surprisingly Simple Truth Behind Extraordinary Results” and Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles.” Each provides insightful tips for improving focus and confidence while tackling everyday challenges.
Reading about effective leadership is a constant practice around the Riverpoint Management office. With this in mind, we’ve added books focused on leadership growth to our book club reading lists. Joel Manby’s “Love Works: Seven Timeless Principles” is one of our favorites. It offers advice for being both caring and accountable as a manager.
Staying positive as we refine our skill sets is part of our company ethos. That’s why Norman Vincent Peale’s “The Power of Positive Thinking” and John C. Maxwell’s “Sometimes You Win – Sometimes You Learn” are ideal choices for our book club. They both provide inspiration to help readers learn from unexpected outcomes and develop greater confidence in the process.
These are a few of the inspiring reads we’ll discuss to get our book club off the ground. Follow Riverpoint Management on Twitter to receive reading suggestions from our team.
